ABOUT ME

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. I earned my BA in Psychology and Gender Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and received my MSW from the University of Chicago. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across all school divisions in independent school settings and spent 17 years at The Churchill School and Center, a school for neurodivergent adolescents, where I provided direct clinical support, parent consultation, and school-wide health and wellbeing programming.

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I draw from extensive training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP, Level III), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based practices. I support clients in working through emotional blocks, accessing core feelings, and developing a more coherent, embodied sense of self. A strong focus of my work is on the body-mind connection, guiding clients in noticing somatic cues and shifting longstanding patterns with compassion and curiosity.

In addition to individual therapy with adolescents and adults, I offer parent guidance and school consultation. I also work with a trained therapy dog, who brings warmth and regulation to sessions. Whether I’m supporting a teen navigating identity exploration, or working with an adult seeking deeper self-understanding, my goal is always to provide a grounded, attuned space where growth and healing can emerge.

With extensive experience working in several independent school settings, I offer a unique and comprehensive perspective on school culture, child development, and community dynamics. My background includes the development and implementation of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Health & Wellness curricula across grade levels, ensuring that programming is age-appropriate, inclusive, and deeply rooted in emotional literacy.
